Swansea City fell to a 2-1 loss against Ipswich Town at the Swansea.com Stadium, despite a goal from Jerry Yates.
The striker scored his eighth of the season to cancel out Nathan Broadhead’s opener, but Conor Chaplin restored the visitors’ advantage before half-time.
The Swans pushed hard for an equaliser in the second half, but could not break down a resolute Ipswich defence.
Joe Allen, Yates, Kyle Naughton and Ollie Cooper were all recalled to the starting XI by Luke Williams, who saw his side suffer their second defeat in five days.
Head Coach Williams was once again disappointed with the manner in which his side conceded the goals, saying “We conceded the goals in a silly way” in his post-match press conference.
Next up for the Swans is the long trip to the north east to take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday (3pm).
