Match Highlights – Swansea City 1 Bristol City 1

Ben Cabango’s early strike wasn’t enough to secure Swansea City a third consecutive victory as Bristol City rallied to claim a 1-1 draw at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Cabango gave the hosts the lead with a close-range finish from Jisung Eom’s corner in the first half, and the Swans looked poised to make it three wins on the trot. Ollie Cooper and Žan Vipotnik both had opportunities to extend the advantage, while Lawrence Vigouroux made key saves to deny Yu Hirakawa and Sinclair Armstrong at the other end.

Despite showing strong defensive resilience, Swansea’s lead was undone when Jason Knight headed in from a corner with 15 minutes remaining, ensuring the visitors took home a share of the points.

While Swansea remain unbeaten at home in the Championship, head coach Luke Williams will no doubt feel frustrated at the two points dropped, particularly given how well his side had performed for much of the contest.

Williams made two changes from the team that triumphed over Coventry, with Vipotnik and Kyle Naughton starting in place of the unwell Liam Cullen and Josh Key.

The Swans return to Championship action on Wednesday evening when they travel to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United.
