Myles Peart-Harris scored a dramatic stoppage-time header to secure a late win for Swansea City against 10-man Luton Town.
Luton seemed on course to hold out for just their fifth away point of the season, even after teenager Joe Johnson was sent off for a second yellow card midway through the second half.
But Peart-Harris, on loan from Brentford, rose to meet a cross and powered the ball home, sealing Swansea’s second home victory in succession, following the Boxing Day win over QPR.
The visitors had taken an early lead when Carlton Morris volleyed into an empty net following a mistake by Swansea goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux.
Swansea hit the woodwork through Eom Ji-Sung before equalizing in the first half, with Gonçalo Franco poking home after a chaotic goalmouth scramble.
Luton improved after the interval but were forced to defend deep following Johnson’s red card, and the pressure finally told in the dying moments as Peart-Harris delivered the decisive goal.
The win lifts Swansea to ninth in the table, just four points off the play-off spots, while Luton remain 19th, four points above the relegation zone.
The Swans return to action on New Year’s Day, when they travel to Fratton Park to take on Portsmouth.
