Alan Sheehan praised Swansea City’s composure and control after they secured a fifth consecutive league win with a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
The Swans were dominant for long periods, taking a 2-0 lead through a Morgan Fox own goal and a close-range finish by Harry Darling, who arrived at the far post alongside Josh Key to convert a deflected cross.
Kader Dembele pulled one back for the hosts, but Sheehan’s side managed the closing stages well to see out the win, continuing their impressive form with a confident and mature performance in front of over 1,700 travelling Jacks.
“I am very happy,” Sheehan said in his post-match interview.
“For around 65 minutes I was delighted because we looked like a strong Championship team.
“We were totally in control, but then we slowed down a little bit, got a bit too comfortable and invited them on to us.
“We got punished, they score through their only real chance of the game.
“That meant we had to go into our defensive structure, but to fair we looked very comfortable within that, I don’t think Lawrence (Vigouroux) has had a save to make.
“So, overall, it was very, very pleasing. We totally deserved it.”
