Swansea City have confirmed the signing of exciting winger Zeidane Inoussa from Swedish side BK Häcken, subject to international clearance.
The 22-year-old Sweden Under-21 international will join the Swans on a five-year deal starting July 1, becoming the club’s first signing ahead of the 2025-26 Championship season — and Alan Sheehan’s first since being named permanent head coach.
Inoussa has made a big impression in Sweden’s top flight this year, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists for Häcken, while also featuring in their UEFA Conference League campaign.
Born in Stockholm, Inoussa has previously played for Brommapojkarna, Caen, Real Murcia, and Valencia B, bringing valuable experience and flair to the wide areas.
With his pace, direct style, and eye for goal, Inoussa looks set to be an exciting addition to Sheehan’s squad as the Swans prepare for a fresh start this summer.
Speaking to the Swans Official website about Zeidane, Head coach Alan Sheehan, said: “It’s important that we carry this season’s momentum into next, and getting our first signing done this early is great. I’m looking forward to working with Zeidane. We want to be an aggressive team with and without the ball, and we believe he has all the attributes to do that and to make us better.”
Director of football, Richard Montague, commented: “Zeidane gives us something different to what we’ve had this season. We hope that he’s a player who will get fans off their seats. We’re delighted to have completed this deal so early, and we believe it will help us to hit the ground running in August .”
Global Head of Analytics and Recruitment, Adam Worth, added: “Zeidane is a really exciting attacking threat and a player we have been keen to bring to the club for a long time. The recruitment team have worked tirelessly on this over the past year, and he has consistently excelled on data, video, and live viewings. He will add an extra dimension to our attack, and, with the support of our ownership group, we are delighted to have been able to complete this deal so early.”
