3 years ago on 09 March 2013 – The Swans lost 2-1 at West Bromwich Albion in the Barclays Premier League despite striker Luke Moore giving the away team the lead and Michel Vorm saving a penalty. Michael Laudrup’s men were bitterly disappointed not to leave the Hawthorns with at least a point as substitute Roland Lamah had a goal controversially ruled out for offside late in the game.

6 years ago on 09 March 2010 – Shefki Kuqi’s early goal was enough to give the promotion chasing Swans a 1 nil win at Watford in the Coca-Cola Championship. The win saw Paulo Sousa’s men stay in 4th place in the table, despite only scoring 31 goals in 35 games. The Hornets were managed by Brendan Rodgers at the time, whilst Danny Graham led the line.

12 years ago on 09 March 2004 – A late Brad Maylett equaliser rescued a point for the Swans in a 1-1 at the Vetch Field against Rochdale in Nationwide League Division Three. The draw kept the Swans faint play-off hopes alive in front of the 5,819 crowd.

14 years ago on 09 March 2002 – The Swans lost 3-1 at Carlisle United in Nationwide Football League Division Three in Nick Cusack’s and Roger Freestone’s first game in charge since starting their role as joint caretaker managers following Colin Appleton’s departure. Stephen Brodie scored the Swans consolation goal as they remained in 15th place in the table.

17 years ago on 09 March 1999 – A Vetch Field crowd of 4,078 enjoyed goals from Kristian O’Leary and Steve Watkin as the Swans beat Darlington 2-0 in Nationwide Football League Division Three, as John Hollin’s men moved into the Play-Offs places for the first time that season.

20 years ago on 09 March 1996 – A second half Steve Torpey goal was enough to earn the Swans a 1-1 draw at Rotherham United in Endsleigh Insurance League Division Two. Jan Molby’s team remained in 21st place in the league table.
