What’s It Like
Swans fans are in the covered Arkells Stand on the side of the pitch. If you are at the back of this stand there’s one supporting pillar which may spoil your view of the goal.

There’s a small kiosk at the back of stand serving chicken Balti pies and steak & ale pies, cheeseburgers, burgers, hot dogs, sausage rolls, pasties and cheese & onion pasties.

Visiting Swindon
Swindon has Coate Water Country Park (SN3 6AA) for those who love the outdoors and has a ranger centre and information point, café, splash park, play area, nature reserve, angling, golf and BBQ hire.

Wiltshire is a lovely part of the country so if may be worth taking a mini-break to enjoy it.

Pubs and Grub
Not much food available in the ground, the burgers are OK. There’s a Burger King and a chippy/Chinese on the Magic Roundabout, and a couple of takeaways on Manchester Road, on the way from the train station. The County Hotel right by the ground will not allow away fans in.

Away fans have their own bar, ‘Bar 71’, by the away turnstiles. It’s quite small and will fill up quickly, with door men preventing anyone else going in, so that it does not become over crowded The Cricket Club (SN1 2EE) behind the Arkells stand is a good place to go as it is very welcoming to away fans and has cheap beer.

‘The Merlin’ (SN1 3AF) is a big pubs close to the ground, serving food and accepts away fans.

The town centre is a half a mile walk from the ground and has enough places for food and drink to satisfy any tastes.

Parking and Train
You can park at the Cricket Club for a fee (as long as there isn’t a cricket match on), passing the County Hotel on your right, and follow a sign on the right for football parking.

St. Joseph’s school (opposite Burger King) has parking for £5, or you can get street parking on Shrivenham Road if you arrive early for enough.

The train station is just over a half a mile and should take 10 minutes, with many pubs and food outlets on the way to break up the trek.
