Ladies face another FAW Women’s Cup away day

The Swansea City Ladies have their own south Wales derby game this weekend, as they travel to face Cardiff Wanderers in the FAW Welsh Women’s Cup Second Round.

Having overcome Coed Duon Women in the first round at the Centre of Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach last Sunday, Chris Church and his team now face another tier 3 side this weekend, when Cardiff Wanderers host the Adran Premier Swans.

Wanderers, who play in the South & West Women’s League and whom were previously known as Fairwater Junior Girls, have only lost 1 of their six league games to date, scoring an impressive 25 goals whilst conceding only 5.

They will however face an experienced Swansea City Ladies team, who remain unbeaten so far this season.

If you’d like to go and watch the game this Sunday, it kicks-off at 2pm at Tongwynlais Playing Fields, which is at the bottom of Iron Bridge Road (CF15 7NH).
