Swans start season away to Rotherham United

Swansea City will kick off their 2022-2023 EFL Championship season at newly promoted Rotherham on 30 July.

The Swans first home game of the campaign will be against Blackburn Rovers, who visit south Wales on 6 August.

Of the sides relegated from the Premier League, Watford will be the first side the Swans will meet, when they travel to Vicarage Road on Wednesday, 5 October.

The Swans will then come face to face with Connor Roberts’ Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday, 15 October 15.

Cardiff City are then the visitors to the Swansea dot com stadium a week later on 22 October, with the return fixture on 1 April, with the Swans looking for a repeat of the historic south Wales derby double which they achieved last season.

The last game before the mid-season break for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar is on Saturday, November 12, with a trip to last season’s Play-Off Finalists Huddersfield Town.

The first fixture after the break, will be the visit of relegated Norwich City to south Wales on 10 December.

The Christmas and New Years’ fixtures have been kind to the Swans this season, with two home games over the festive period, starting with the relatively short trip to Reading on Boxing Day, followed by the visit of Watford to the Swansea dot com on 29 December and then Burnley on 1 January.

The Swans last away fixture will be at Hull City on 29 April, with Russell Martin’s team finishing their season at home to West Bromwich Albion on 6 May.
