Swansea City Ladies have been drawn against Greek side PAOK in the UEFA Champions League First Round.
The Ladies qualified for the prestigious tournament after being crowned inaugural Genero Adran Premier champions, meaning they secured a spot in Europe’s elite club competition for the third season running.
The first round game will take place on 18 August in the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece.
PAOK, officially known as FC PAOK Thessaloniki, are the current Greek A Division champions and have represented Greece in the Women’s Champions League for the last 7 seasons.
Should the Swans Ladies beat PAOK, they will then face the winners of the Ferencváros (Hungary) v Rangers (Scotland) game on 21 August for a place in Round 2.
New Swansea City Ladies Head Coach Jon Beale is relishing the challenge ahead, and has no doubts his team will be ready to do themselves and the club proud.
The PSV Stadium in Eindhoven will host the UEFA Women’s Champions League Final in June 2023 and will be the first time the final has been held in the Netherlands.
