Around 300 Swansea City fans made the trip to Teesside this weekend to watch the Swans take on Middlesbrough at the Riverside stadium.
Plenty will no doubt mock the Swans following in the north east, but with the last away game for Russell Martin’s men having been in Blackpool (when over 1,400 Jacks backed the team), many of the Jack Army will no doubt have chosen to spend their hard earned money elsewhere on last bank holiday weekend of the year, rather than make the 620 mile round trip to Middlesbrough.
Unfortunately, the only bright spot on yet another disappointing afternoon for the travelling Jacks, was seeing Joel Piroe grab his first league goal of the campaign from the penalty spot in the 79th minute, as the Swans fell to a 2-1 defeat on Teesside.
Huge credit to the fans that did make the long trip to watch the Swans as always, and no doubt many of them will be at Stoke City on Wednesday night too.
