Swansea City came from behind to claim a valid away point as they drew 1-1 at Bristol City in the Championship.
Roared on by around 2,500 Jacks, Russell Martin’s team made a slow start with some sloppy passing handing the home side the initiative, and it came as no surprise when Tommy Conway gave the Robins the lead on 24 minutes.
To their credit, the Swans never gave up and the introduction of Olivier Ntcham and later Armstrong Oko-Flex were the catalyst the Swans needed to get back into the game.
The visitors finally got their reward on 76 minutes, when Cameroon international Ntcham hit a brilliant volley – which took a slight deflection of Oko-Flex – which flex into the bottom corner to send the away end wild.
It was enough to see the Swans secure a valuable point on the road, after what was generally a below par performance from Russell Martin’s men, but one which the manager felt his side showed a lot of character.
The Swans now face the long journey to Preston on Tuesday evening, when they will look to get back to winning ways on the road.
