Match Highlights – Swansea City 3 Birmingham City 4

Birmingham City snatched the win in a thrilling match at the Swansea.com Stadium on a gut wrenching afternoon for the Swans.

Despite Scott Hogan scoring for the visitors from the penalty spot against the run of play, Swansea equalized through Joel Piroe and then took the lead with Liam Cullen’s smart finish.

Birmingham regained parity with Tahith Chong’s goal in the second half, but a defensive error allowed Piroe to score his 12th goal of the season.

With the Swans going down to 10 men due to injuries, Birmingham took full advantage as Jutkiewicz’s header drew the Blues level before Trusty’s set-piece goal deep into injury time.

It was a harsh outcome for Swansea who had been close to getting a welcome win, especially after the January transfer window ended with no additions to their young squad.

Next up for the Swans is a daunting trip to Championship high-flyers Sheffield United on Saturday.
