Fairly uneventful friendly at Leckwith this evening, resulting in a 1-0 defeat.
The mass substitutions probably didn’t help, although there was very little pattern to Wales’s play. It was almost as if coach Rob Edwards (ex Bristol City) didn’t quite know how to use the players at his disposal. Liverpool’s Lewis Koumas – son of Jason – had a lively 2nd half up front. Other than that, we were a little lacklustre.
Swansea’s Dan Watts, normally so involved in midfield, had very little possession, but was constructive on the few occasions he was given the ball.
Sweden scored with one of the very few chances they got, a soft penalty that skipper Tannor converted.
