Swansea City Under-18s suffered a heavy defeat against the reigning Professional Development League South champions Charlton Athletic in an action-packed match at Landore.
In the first half, there were five goals, including two set-piece goals converted by Patrick Casey for Charlton. Jack Fanning’s header equalized for the Swans at 1-1, and Thomas Woodword then put Swansea ahead. Just before halftime, Josh Pescatore scored the third goal for Swansea after good work from Rohan Davies.
However, Charlton managed to find the net again with 10 minutes left in the game when Jadon Yamoah scored from the edge of the penalty area. In stoppage time, Casey completed his hat-trick, securing his fourth goal of the afternoon and sealing the victory for Charlton.
