Kitchen to referee his first Swansea City home game

Durham official Andrew Kitchen has been appointed the referee for the Championship game between Swansea City and Watford at the stadium on Tuesday evening.

It will be the first time that the official has taken charge of a Swans home game, having ironically made his EFL Championship debut in the Swans trip to QPR earlier this season.

Referee Kitchen will be assisted by Mark Stevens and Craig Taylor, with Josh Smith the 4th Official for the game which kicks-off at 7:45pm.

This will be Kitchen’s third Championship game of the season and his 9th game overall.

In his two Championship appearances, he has handed out three yellow cards and one red card, which he showed to the Swans’ Oli Cooper at QPR for a second bookable offence. He also booked Nathan Wood during the same game.

Kitchen is yet to referee a Watford game this season.
