We were dead on our feet at full-time and perhaps could only rue not taking a more commanding first half lead which our opening play certainly deserved.
The returning Tom Woodward and Yori Griffith made such an impact to the side. However it was evident that neither they nor skipper Jack Fanning were fully match fit this evening and that told as the match progressed.

Millwall fully played their part. Striker Heywood and attacking midfielder Howland were quite relentless. Overall Millwall were physically stronger and lasted the distance better. Once Woodward and Griffith were off the pitch, we inevitably lost that ability to carry the ball forward with control, went longer and less effectively.
Nonetheless, heroic performances right across the park. Although he was booked early on, Jacob Cook was indefatigable. Sammy Henia-Kamau posed a constant threat to the Millwall rearguard.
The whole squad gave their all this evening.
