Match Highlights – Leeds United 2 Swansea City 2

Zan Vipotnik struck deep into stoppage time to secure Swansea City a dramatic but well-earned point in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Elland Road.

The Slovenian forward drilled a low shot into the far corner in the 96th minute, sparking wild celebrations just moments after Wilfried Gnonto had seemingly won it for promotion-chasing Leeds.

Swansea endured a nightmare start, conceding inside 35 seconds as Brenden Aaronson fired the hosts ahead. However, the visitors responded well, with Harry Darling pouncing on a handling error to level the scores.

Despite missed chances – including a Josh Tymon penalty and Hannes Delcroix hitting the post – the Swans looked set for heartbreak when Gnonto struck late on, but Vipotnik had the final say, ensuring Alan Sheehan’s side left Yorkshire with a hard-fought point against their high flying hosts.

Alan Sheehan hailed his side’s character in the post-match press conference, adding that he felt a point was the least his team deserved.

The Swans are back on home soil next Saturday, when Derby County are the visitors to the Swansea.com stadium, for what is a crucial game for both sides.
