Match Highlights – Sunderland 0 Swansea City 1

Ben Cabango’s second-half strike secured Swansea City a third straight win and clean sheet as they edged past Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light.

The skipper pounced after Harry Darling’s header came back off the post, sealing a deserved win after a dominant display. Lewis O’Brien had gone close several times in the first half, and the Swans then stood firm to see out the result.

It capped a perfect week for Alan Sheehan’s side, who claimed their third win and third clean sheet in as many games following the wins over Derby County last Saturday and Plymouth Argyle in midweek.

The narrow victory at the Stadium of Light means the Swans are now unbeaten at Sunderland since 2012.

Alan Sheehan was clearly very happy in his post-match interview, praising his players performance after a “perfect week”.

The Swans return to the Swansea.com stadium next Friday, when Hull City are the visitors, on a busy weekend of Easter football.
