Russel Martin gives his thoughts ahead of Hull game

Swansea City manager Russell Martin gave his press conference this afternoon ahead of the trip to take on Hull City in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Swans Team News

“I think everyone’s okay, we’ve got a clean bill of health and Olivier’s back too which is brilliant. Apart from Flynn who’s suspended we have a full squad.”

Thoughts on Hull City

“They have really good players, athletic, organised and they’re hard to break down. They have real energy and a real focal point in their striker Tom Eaves. We’ll be aware of that but it’s a game for us to look forward to.”

Adding Players during the Transfer Window

“We want to. We have a very small squad at the moment. There’s loads of players on our radar, you just look at every situation. We have already been linked with lots of people, some we haven’t even discussed in the building and some we have.”

Latest on Jamie Paterson

“Nothing has changed since I spoke about it on Tuesday. If he’s still here on Tuesday it’ll be amazing, if not it means someone has met the valuation the owners have put on Pato.”

“He has a very big decision to make that if he carries on doing what he’s doing for the next four months, it’s really tough. At this minute in time, he’s finding it difficult. The whole situation. If he’s still here on Tuesday we’ll have a chat about it.”

Latest on Jay Fulton

“I’ve got so much respect for Jay. Even when he’s not been involved much, he’s handled it so well. I think people have tried to build a personal agenda, it’s not like that.”

Offer received for Yan Dhanda

“We’ve had an offer for Yan to play football that we’d like to take up, but a lot of things can change. I expect him to go out and play somewhere. I think it’ll be a loan because he’s out of contract in the summer.”

Loan offers for Brandon Cooper

“We’ve had offers for a loan. He’s not just going to go for the sake of it. The big part of this club is promoting from the academy. Helping these players develop and get experience elsewhere is really key if they’re not playing here.”

Swans Current Form

“I’d have liked a couple more points but I think we’ve been good. Preston’s result last night shows you what a strong result that was last night. We’ve had a really difficult period in terms of results before the break, and then the break itself. I think what’s happened has been great. The reaction has been great. Everyone’s in a good place and I’m really looking forward to a strong second half to the season.”
