Match Highlights – Swansea City 2 Cardiff City 0

Swansea City secured their third consecutive south Wales derby win as they cruised to a 2-0 win over their bitter rivals at the Swansea.com stadium.

Cardiff were down to 10 men after just 7 minutes when Callum Robinson was sent off for throwing the ball into Ben Cabango’s face and things got worse for the Bluebirds when young Ollie Cooper – whose Dad Kevin used to play for the Bluebirds – popped up to score the opening goal on 38 minutes.

Michael Obafemi then grabbed the Swans second on 67 minutes to ensure the Swans continued their dominance of the south Wales derby, whilst moving the Swans up to fourth place in the Championship table.

Swans captain Matt Grimes was the star performer for the home side, whilst also almost making more accurate passes in the 90 minutes than the entire Cardiff team put together!

Russell Martin and his team now turn their attentions to the short trip to Bristol City next Saturday for another noon kick-off.
