The U21 won this evening 7-1.
2-1 at HT but ran a tired side ragged after an hour. Could’ve easily been double figures. In fairness, the Penybont keeper performed wonders.
Very pleasing outing with lots of good exposure for our youngsters. I’ll be a bit more specific once I’ve totted things up!
Tricky to follow, with so many substitutions throughout the match, but 1) our U21 played a great game 2) we got better as the game went on and – naturally- as Penybont tired and 3) our substitutions improved us.

We started 4-4-2: Evan Watts; Arthur Parker, Jack Cooper, Richard Faakye, Seb Dabrowski; Cameron Llewellyn, Maliq Cadogan, Aimar Govea, Zane Myers; Mitchell Bates, Trialist, a tall lad apparently from Derby.
Pretty even first half, although we were always in control. The own goal to bring Penybont back to 1-2 was a deflection.
The substitutions simply swept Penybont away. Any one of Morgan. Nzingo of Watts could’ve got hat tricks. Liam Smith was also highly effective.
