Swansea City Under-18s started 2024 with a comeback victory against Ipswich Town in the Professional Development League under new head coach Jarred Harvey.

Despite the Tractor Boys scoring an early goal through Afi Adebayo, Thomas Woodward quickly equalized with a goal from a tight angle and then put Swansea ahead by converting neat Aimar Govea’s delivery to give the young Swans a 2-1 half time lead.

Ipswich drew level after the break with Luke Towler tapping home from a set-piece, but substitute Josh Pescatore restored Swansea’s lead with a brilliant strike.

In stoppage time, Woodward completed his hat-trick, displaying impressive skill to secure a 4-2 win for the Swans.
