Williams: In the end it was heart-breaking

Head coach Luke Williams was left heartbroken as his Swansea City side narrowly missed out on a valuable point against new Championship league leaders Leeds United.

Harry Darling gave Swansea an early lead with his first goal of the season just nine minutes in, but Manor Solomon equalised soon after.

Liam Cullen continued his fine form, following his recent Wales heroics, by scoring his fourth goal of the season just before halftime to restore Swansea’s advantage. However, an own goal by Ben Cabango in the second half brought Leeds level again.

Leeds went ahead for the first time with 15 minutes to go when Solomon scored his second of the game.

Substitute Florian Bianchini gave Swansea hope with a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser, but the joy was short-lived as Wilfried Gnonto struck almost immediately after the restart to secure all three points for Leeds.
