Swansea City suffered a 2-0 defeat at the Swansea.com Stadium as Coventry City secured their first win over the Swans in 44 years.
First-half goals from Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante sealed the victory for the Sky Blues.
Swansea’s best opportunity came from a Ronald header in the first-half, which Coventry keeper Oliver Dovin saved, while Liam Cullen also had two shots blocked.
It wasn’t the ideal way to mark Ben Cabango’s first game as club captain, and Swansea couldn’t argue with the result.
Cyrus Christie and Jay Fulton returned to the starting XI as the Swans switched to a three-at-the-back formation, following Matt Grimes departure and the heavy defeat at Norwich City last weekend.
The next game for the Swans is the trip to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City on Sunday, 9 February for a midday kick-off.

Post-Match Reaction from Luke Williams
Head coach Luke Williams admits Swansea City need to find a spark to help them navigate their way out of a tough period following a 2-0 defeat to Coventry City.
Speaking to the press after the game, Swans boss Williams had no issue with the effort his players put into the contest, but acknowledges they need to show better composure and assertiveness in the final third.
“We are going through a tough period, we need a spark, we have to find a way to control games again, to make more box entries and be more aggressive going forward.
“We tried to change things a little bit to see if we can adapt. I think the front two for Coventry really caused us a lot of problems – they were the big difference between the two teams.
“The best side won, but we weren’t able to cope with them. It’s very difficult to be the same type of team without Matt Grimes, for the moment.
“We need to try to find a way to control the game again. We made some good openings, but we didn’t make enough of them. We’re not the team at the moment that can make one or two chances and score one or two goals. We have to find a way.”
