IT WAS a pretty sickening sight watching that Barnsley fan trying to attack the referee in the Liverpool match last weekend. We do not need that violent side giving our great game a bad name but I can honestly see it happening more and more next season. Why? Simply because FIFA are outlawing the tackle …
Tuesday 24th March, 1998 – Wrexham 2 v 2 Swansea City (AET) – Wrexham win 5-4 on penalties – Quarter-Final FAW Trophy ROGER Freestone went from hero to villain in a split second last night as Swansea lost their grip on the richest prize in Welsh sport. The normally reliable goalkeeper defied Wrexham almost single-handed …
It’s been back to basics at Vetch Field this week, not surprising really when you consider how poorly we defended at Rochdale. There was not too much Christmas cheer around on the trip home after our 3-0 defeat, so instead of being buoyed up preparing for a difficult festive programme I find myself addressing a …

The new Tosh was splashed across the Post where his widely-read column appeared once a week. There was good reason, and while the banner headline was accompanied by …
Swansea have sacked player-manager Jan Molby just two months into the football season. This morning Molby’s Vetch Field office was empty as the former Denmark and Liverpool midfielder confirmed in an exclusive interview with the Evening Post that he had been dismissed by the club’s new owners. A statement by Neil McClure, the Swansea vice-chairman …
Well much has happened and much has been said since the last newsletter from HQ Gloucester, Molby’s gone and on the surface it seems this was inevitable from the noises coming out of the Vetch Field in recent times, so its long live Micky Adams, well until he gets the push which is also inevitable. …
As you have probably noticed on these pages, I recently had the honour of training with the Swans for two weeks. I think the fact that I was able to come to Swansea and participate in a trial with the team really shows the power of the Internet. Thanks to Gary’s information on these pages, …
