Ryan Manning’s deflected goal wasn’t enough to stop the Swans falling to defeat to play-off chasing Millwall at The Den.
The home side secured all three points in a matter of seven second half minutes as Charlie Cresswell’s deflected effort opened the scoring shortly after half-time and then Andreas Voglsammer doubled the home side’s advantage.
Despite going behind having had the better of the game in the opening 45 minutes, the Swans responded quickly when Matt Grimes’ strike from the edge of the box was turned in by Manning to make it 2-1, but sadly the Swans weren’t able to find the all important equaliser.
Once again Swans boss Russell Martin felt his side didn’t get what they deserved in what was another improved performance, in a game which they fell to yet another defeat.
The Swans now welcome Bristol City to the Swansea.com stadium on Sunday for the final game before the international break.
