Match Highlights – Swansea City 3 Sheffield Wednesday 0

Swansea City secured their first Championship win of the season by defeating Sheffield Wednesday at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Jamal Lowe scored the first goal from a penalty kick in the first half, after Josh Ginnelly was fouled in the penalty area.

Jerry Yates, who came on as a substitute, scored his third goal of the season just after the one-hour mark, doubling Swansea’s lead. Charlie Patino then sealed the victory by scoring his first goal for the Swans, capping off a well-executed attack.

The match also marked the Swans first clean sheet of the league season, which is a positive sign for head coach Michael Duff, who will no doubt be pleased with the team’s aggressive pressing, which created numerous scoring opportunities.

However, there were some setbacks for the Swans as both Nathan Wood and Josh Ginnelly had to leave the field due to injuries in the first half.
