Swansea City secured their first league victory under Luke Williams with a narrow win against promotion hopefuls Hull at the MKM Stadium.

Liam Cullen broke the deadlock in the 11th minute, clinically converting Josh Tymon’s corner to notch his fifth goal of the season.

Despite several promising opportunities, Cullen’s solitary strike proved decisive, as the the Swans defensively resilience, helped them claim their first away win at Hull since 2014.

Williams and his squad will draw encouragement from the performance, with Ronald and Przemyslaw Placheta causing problems on the flanks, and Tymon and Jay Fulton excelling in deeper positions.

The Swans Head Coach was clearly pleased with his team, praising their effort and grit in his post-match interview, along with the support of the travelling Jacks that made the long trip to east Yorkshire.

Swansea made two changes from their previous defeat against Plymouth Argyle, with Placheta making his first start and Cullen leading the attacking line, while Ollie Cooper and Jerry Yates were relegated to the bench.

The Swans return to the Swansea.com stadium on Tuesday night, when high flying Leeds United are the visitors, complete with former Swans Joel Piroe, Joe Rodon, Daniel James and Connor Roberts.
