Josh Tymon’s first goal for Swansea City secured a hard-fought 1-0 win at Ashton Gate, ending their 4 game winless run in the Championship.
The wing-back fired home a rebound in the 55th minute in front of the 1,800 plus travelling Jack Army to seal the Swans’ first victory of 2025.
Ronald and Žan Vipotnik missed big chances before the break, while Jisung Eom squandered another after the opener. At the other end, Lawrence Vigouroux made key saves, and Sam Bell struck the post for Bristol City.
The Swans made four changes from defeat to Coventry City last weekend as new signing Lewis O’Brien came into the team, as well as Naughton, Eom and Vipotnik.
Midfielder Lewis O’Brien impressed on his debut, while Ben Cabango and Kyle Naughton stood out in a resolute defensive display, with Swans boss Luke Williams praising his players’ resilience in his post-match interview.
Next up for the Swans is the visit of Sheffield Wednesday to the Swansea.com stadium on Wednesday, 12 February.
