The Swans Under 21s secured their fifth consecutive win with a comprehensive 4-0 win over their QPR counterparts at a sodden Swansea.com stadium. A first half …
A very refreshing and ultimately decisive 4-0 victory for our U21 today. The heavens opened with about 20 minutes to go. Great credit to the players for continuing without any letup. The rain was biblical. Line-up in a fluid 3-4-2-1 formation: Ben Hughes; Harry Jones (sub Kai Ludvigsen 77), Brandon Cooper, Nathanael Ogbeta; Joe Thomas, Azeem Abdulai …
From my perspective, very much a game of two halves today at Landore. 4-0 wouldn’t have flattered us at half-time, it probably did at full-time. We lined up in a familiar and fluid 3-4-2-1 style, with some positional changes for a number of players: Ben Hughes; Harry Jones, Brandon Cooper, Kian Jenkins (Joe Thomas 81m); …
Here is an image slideshow from the Under 21s Professional Development League game between the Swans and Millwall at Landore on Monday, 24 October 2022. A goal in each half from Liam Cullen and Cameron Congreve helped the Swans to a 2-0 win over Kevin Nugent’s Millwall side, who before the game were in 2nd …
A comfortable enough win and workout for a strong Swans side today at Landore, played in a combination of bright sunshine and heavy showers. We dominated throughout, aside from the final 10 minutes when Millwall resurged and created a number of late chances, amazingly blazing 2 over the bar from point blank range. We lined up …
A well deserved victory in great weather at Landore. We created by far the most chances, but conceded a couple of soft goals. Even so, our goal led a charmed life in the final 10 minutes as Charlton sought an equaliser. An excellent finish from Ben Lloyd – his first touch on coming onto the pitch – …
Swansea City Under 21 travel to the Cardiff International Sports Stadium this afternoon to take on Cardiff City Under 21 in a Professional Development League fixture at 1pm. The young Swans will be looking to build on the 4-1 victory over Colchester United at Landore recently, when they play the first south Wales derby Under …
A great tonic for our U21, against a side that’s given us problems in the recent past. Jon Grey didn’t appear to be there today – perhaps working? Lots of the U18 squad present, plus Tiv Rushesha, Kyle Joseph, Liam Cullen and Ollie Cooper, as well as Russell Martin arriving in the 2nd half. I’ve …
Here is an image slideshow from the Under 18s Professional Development League game between the Swans and Charlton Athletic at Landore on Saturday, 1 October 2022. The game was delayed 30 minutes due to the Charlton team getting stuck in traffic on the M4, but it didn’t seem to affect the reigning Professional Development League …
It was an unusual match in all respects. Spectators couldn’t get into the ground via the normal entrance, as there was a kids tournament taking place on the pitches closest to the Liberty and today’s stewards didn’t seem to have any knowhow as to how U18 games are run. As it was, Charlton’s team coach was delayed, …
