Eltringham to referee Swans game at Hull

Geoff Eltringham will be the official in charge of the Swans Championship fixture against Hull City this weekend.

The referee, who hails from the north east, will be assisted by will be assisted by Mark Dwyer and Greg Read, with Robert Madley the 4th Official for the game at the MKM Stadium.

This will be the first time that Eltringham has officiated a Swansea City match this season. Ironically, the last Swansea City game that Eltringham was the man in the middle for was the same fixture last season, when the Swans secured a 1-1 draw at Hull thanks to a goal from Wolves loanee Luke Cundle.

Overall Geoff Eltringham’s record for Swansea City games makes for decent reading, with this being his 8th Swans away game of his career to date.

Prior to the game between the Tigers and Swans, Eltringham has officiated 12 Championship games so far this season, showing 53 yellow cards and no red cards.

The five Hull City players shown a yellow during that game last October were Jaden Philogene, Cyrus Christie, Tyler Morton, Lewie Coyle and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh.
