Another loss, but it didn’t feel quite the same as the disheartening defeats this side has otherwise suffered this season. The side had a real purple patch after half-time when it looked as though they could get an equaliser and this after going into the interval 2 nil down. Poor defending all the way down …
Please note that this event has now been cancelled due to the current Coronavirus pandemic. Swansea City fans based in West Wales will be pleased to hear about an upcoming event in Carmarthen, featuring Swans legends Lee Trundle and Andy Robinson. For some teams, the January transfer window can be a madcap, chaotic period in which those in charge of recruitment seem to temporarily take leave of their senses. But sensible recruitment has been the name of the game at Swansea, and while there are plenty of high-quality targets available, Steve Cooper has identified an area of …
The Under 23 were undone by conceding 3 cheap goals in 8 minutes to go into half-time 4-1 down. Peterson gestured to the coaching area with 10 minutes to go, but played on. McKay was head & shoulders …
“I’m pleased for the fans, it’s been too long, we know that….it is a small step back to the team we want to be at the Liberty.” The words of Steve Cooper, speaking after the 3-1 defeat of Middlesbrough that ended a six-game winless run for the Swans and a first win at the Liberty …
With the Swans finally returning to winning ways on the weekend thanks to the 3-1 victory over Middlesbrough at the Liberty Stadium, the focus now turns to the four games over the festive period. There’s been a lot of talk recently about the club’s American owners willingness to sell and on what terms. In fact, …
Another heavy defeat against a physically bigger and technically sharper set of opponents. helsea dominated from the start – they’d already hit the bar before going into a 1-0 lead after 5 minutes. They missed a succession of chances before Swansea gradually got a bit of possession, but Clancy and Thomas were given very little …
No luck for the Swans in the first half – the Colchester keeper made a number of saves, including at least 3 from Cullen. The visitors broke away from our own attacking throw to score against naive defending. We weren’t as threatening in the 2nd half and our play petered out with additional young subs …
