The U21 got a well earned 2-0 win over Briton Ferry Llansawel’s senior side this evening. The relentless drizzle kept the crowd to a disappointing minimum. It was something of a slog for both sides, although we did enough to deserve the win. We included 4 of the trialists from the Trefelin game and also …
No MG Cup run for us this season, as we went out at the first hurdle at sunny Baglan, losing after a 1-1 draw went straight to penalties without extra time. Baglan scored all 5 of theirs, we missed our first and that was that, really. Anthony Wright played the hand he was dealt – …
A decent workout for our U21 this evening against a workmanlike and determined Trefelin opposition who played in a competitive spirit throughout. There were some familiar faces in the Ynys Park squad – including Lee Trundle, Shaun MacDonald, Daniel Alfei and Steve Berry. Our team and squad comprised a mix of U21, U18 and trialists, …
A somewhat lacklustre encounter that we never should have lost – some strange officiating saw us a goal down after 18 minutes and we chased the game from that point onward. Kyrell Wilson equalised when he got on the end of a flowing move, Swansea’s best of the game. Another cracking left footed finish beyond …

We won 3-1 in the sun. Very much an end of season feel about the game, pleasant atmosphere with lots of kids at the stadium. We dominated, made a bit of hard work of it at times, got the right outcome. We played 4 3 3, with Kyrell Wilson and Cameron Congreve flanking Maliq Cadogan. …
The U21 continued their good run of form with a convincing 4-0 win over Development League North visitors Fleetwood Town. Fleetwood got off rather lightly today. Although the match dipped briefly into a lull after the interval, we were well worth the win – Kyrell Wilson making a welcome return cameo from the bench and …
Fantastic 3-2 win for our U21 this evening, an added time winner clinching the game after we clawed our way back from 2-1 down against a very strong Bournemouth side. Anthony Wright should be rightly proud of this great team performance. Sometimes, there are games where it all seems rather worthwhile! The portents weren’t great: …
A rather strange game for the U21 at a bitterly cold Landore today. 3-0 sounds decisive enough, but the referee’s histrionic performance in the final stages left a sour taste as the match descended into high farce. It was hard to keep up, but match official Corbett surpassed himself by following up Filip Lissah’s harsh …
High anxiety at the end of a tough Nathaniel MG Cup semi-final here at Landore this evening. The Swans and Cardiff Met couldn’t be separated at 90 minutes. The 0-0 tie went straight to penalties, the Swans triumphing 5-4 when the contest moved to sudden death. A very decent crowd at the academy, with a …
